Captain Gary

Captain Gary Dawson, a really good friend of ours, is getting ready to embark on a journey that has been in the works for several years. He and his brother have dreamed of sailing around the world and that dream is about to become reality. Gary has been in Tortola for the last four months working non stop on his brother's 55 foot catamaran and it's just about ready. They plan to launch the boat on Feb 20th, stop in St. Thomas and then sail to Key Largo, FL. From there they will head to the Panama Canal and the adventure begins. They have started a web site to follow their travels Reality Interrupted. I wish Gary and the rest of the crew all the luck in the world! Happy travels!!

BTW - this pic was taken on our little sailing adventure from last week. We kidnapped Gary for a couple days to give him some time on the water and a little break from all the work he's been doing. I promise we will do a full trip report once we gather our thoughts and pics.

We recently visited St Thomas on cruise and met an old college friend of mine living there. Found your blog as we are thinking of doing the same as you two did. I will be 40 here soon and with no kids, why not, other than our primary residence has zero equity! Anyway, should you ever want to drop us a line, ken@ken-wiseman.com. Thanks for giving me something to look forward to everyday!

Tell Gary that I said hello and Bon Voyage when you see him again!
